Rather than relying on lists and others’ ideas of what’s best
for your kids, this talk intends to empower parents to decide for themselves
which books would best help their children to not only learn to think critically
and logically, but help them to grow in both grace and virtue
Bio:
Carrie Barron graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in 1997 with a degree in English, hoping to teach high school English. I wound up teaching my own kids instead. Married for 14 years, my husband and I are homeschooling 5 little ones, with two underfoot, and #8 on the way. We have been homeschooling for 7 years, and I am a convert to the Faith, as of 1996. In my spare time, I enjoy…reading (LOL) and teaching the high school lit classes at the local co-op. |
